Emergency Financial Assistance

A Program of the Miriam/Ruth Project

Miracle Making Ministries’ Emergency Financial Assistance Program exists to provide critical support to individuals and families in the CSRA who are facing financial crises. Our mission is to prevent homelessness and utility shut-offs by offering timely, compassionate aid when it’s needed most.

Through this program, we step in to cover a portion of utility bills, rent, mortgage payments, and other bills, helping families stabilize their living situation and avoid the devastating impacts of eviction or loss of essential services. We also offer food and car assistance on a case by case basis. By bridging these temporary financial gaps, Miracle Making Ministries not only meets immediate needs but also helps restore hope and a sense of security for those navigating difficult seasons.

In 2024, the generosity of our supporters and grantmakers allowed Miracle Making Ministries to extend emergency financial assistance to 515 households across our community. This support directly impacted 4,818 individuals—men, women, and children—who were facing the devastating reality of eviction or utility shut-offs.

“I just wanted to thank everyone involved once more in helping me and my husband through hurricane Helene and the holidays. Because of your help, I was able to have some peace of mind and was able to pay back some of the loan I had to borrow to get through the storm due to FEMA not helping us at all. I also was able to get enough food to last through the holidays with the rent and utility assistance that was given to us. I reached out to the Red Cross and FEMA and you were the only one that reached out to us so just wanted to express the gratefulness we felt. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.”

How Do I Apply For Assistance?

To be considered for assistance, please email 3m***@*****st.net with the following:

  • A clear, legible copy of your full bill

  • Your full name (must match the name on the bill)

  • A brief explanation of why you are seeking assistance

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Due to limited funds and a high volume of requests, we are unable to assist everyone who applies.

  • If we are able to help you, you will receive an email response within 1–5 business days.

  • If you do not receive a response within that timeframe, it unfortunately means we are unable to provide assistance at this time.

  • Please know that every request submitted with complete information is read and carefully reviewed by a case manager, even if you do not receive a reply.

Our decision process considers:

  • The total amount owed on the bill

  • The circumstances that led to your financial hardship

  • Available funding at the time of review

  • The number of times you’ve received assistance (limited to once per calendar year)

PLEASE NOTE:

  • The only way to apply for assistance is by following the instructions above.

  • Calling our office, clinics, or sending multiple emails will not change the outcome of your request.

  • Our heart is to serve and support as many people as possible in our community. While we cannot meet every need, we sincerely appreciate your understanding and will continue to pray that your needs are met soon.
